Will this series be held December 9th? I don’t see any one registered for it yet.

I am new to autocross, live in Fort Collins and would like to start auto-crossing my 2002 Miata. However I would like to attend an autocross event (and maybe bum a ride in someone’s car) first before I jump in completely.

    Thanks.

We would only cancel because of ice and snow, so yes.  Don’t wait!  Plan to drive your car.  We have a great novice program.  You can walk the course with an experienced driver and you can also have an experienced drive ride with you.  Even if you are slow your first run, you will learn much by driving your own car.  Registration should be open two or three weeks (if not earlier) before the event.

I’d be willing to codrive with you to be a tire warmer. My normal (or abnormal) race car is completely disassembled and getting a new (straight and stiff) frame. Anyway, I’m no pro, but have been doing this for about 10 years, including a year or two in a 1990’s Miata.

    Bill –

I appreciate your offer to codrive with me. My car is in storage for the winter for now. I probably will get it out of storage in April so I could take you up on your offer then. What I would like to do in the immediate future is ride with someone during a run and talk with drivers about what needs to be done to get started with autocross.

Ahh ok. Well my S2K has snows on it for the winter so I can’t help you with a ride along. But I’d certainly be able to share with you what I’ve learned.
