Continental Divide Region will be hosting a Tire Rack Street Survival School from 8:00AM til 4:00PM on 2 August 2020 at PPIR. Coaches and support staff are needed.
Coaches will assist students age 15-22 in learning driving safety techniques. Skid pad and slalom exercises will be used to make students aware of the handling capabilities of their “daily driver” vehicles. Emergency braking and lane change exercises with give students experience in emergency maneuvering and collision avoidance. You don’t need to be a championship caliber driver to coach. Anyone with a basic understanding of vehicle handling characteristics can be an effective coach. Driven in a few autocross events? You have the necessary experience to be a coach
Lunch will be provided for coaches and staff.
COVID compliance policies and practices will be followed to ensure a “medically safe” event.
We’ll also need a couple “Staff” folks to help with event administration.
