We’re looking to have a great race day at PPIR this Sunday! We have some new advancements to announce:
1. We plan to issue bar codes to all entrants to ease Timing & Scoring ops. Bar codes reduce the errors caused by manual entry and make our events run more smoothly. All drivers will be required to affix one to the left side of their helmet; Those using our loaner helmets should stick the bar code on a piece of tape and keep it on their rear view mirror between runs. If you’ve been to a National event, you already have an SCCA bar code. For those who don’t, we’ll be printing them at check-in.
2. We’ve been testing our new Solo Live Timing equipment, and we’re going to run a beta test this Sunday. To view your results in real time on Sunday, go to RMSolo.org/live-timing on your mobile device.
3. We hope to be broadcasting on FM radio again on Sunday. We’ll announce the frequency at the drivers’ meeting.
We have a great course by Brian Kelley, and Ted Vong’s Short Stop will be dishing out his terrific fare.
