We’ve been contracted to put on some autocross events at EVOC.  I need a number of people to help out with each event.  I’ll need your name, your email address, and what event(s) you are volunteering for.  Details below:

    June 22nd-

Unified Car Show and Driving Experience.  The Douglas County Sheriff Department is putting on their Unified Car Show again.  Proceeds from the show go straight to the Special Olympics of Colorado.  Same as last year, we are contracted to put on an autocross course where the show visitors can buy tickets to take runs on.  This doesn’t pay anything, but does support a good cause.

Setup at 7:30.  Show starts at 10.  Registration/car placement starts at 8, so lets try to avoid that.

    1 Stephen Kohn

    2 David Walker

    3 Ken Hammack

    4 Chuck Spencer (+1)

    5 Calvin Staub

    6 Greg Paine

    7 Jeff Hurckes

    8 Brendan Garst

    May 2nd-

Schomp is having another “new car” test drive for potential customers.  They are going to bring out a bunch of BMW test cars, and run sessions where folks can try them out on an autocross course and the track to see how they perform.  Setup starts at 7am, first session is at 9am.  There will be breaks between the sessions.  Sessions end at 8pm.  Between the sessions you can drive your car on the autox course if it has a stock(ish) muffler (there are still sound concerns at EVOC) or you can drive one of the test cars.

    Pays $150

    Volunteers:

    1 Jesse Shapiro

    2 Jeff Humphrey

    3 Dean Thornburg

    4 Jeff Hurckes

    May 3rd-

Schomp event, similar to May 2nd, except this day its Mini with possibly some Subarus and Hondas.  Start at 7, end at 5.  If it goes later than 5pm, there will be extra pay involved.  Pays $125 for the day.

    Calvin,

Mostly you’ll be shagging cones, so the ability to run will be necessary.  Nothing really special though.

Looking forward to this with novice enthusiasm! Where is EVOC? Douglas County or Highlands Ranch?
