RMSolo will be hosting a Solo Safety Steward training session on Sunday, 14 April at the Castle Rock Village Inn meeting room from 10:00AM to 2:00PM. This training will satisfy the recurring training requirement for existing stewards, as well as initial training for new Safety Steward candidates. Lunch will be provided by the Colorado and Continental Divide regions! In addition, we will be presenting Junior Driver Training that will earn you a JDP Safety Steward license.
If you are contemplating becoming a Solo Safety Steward, there are a few things you should know:
– Solo Safety Stewards are the only work assignment that requires a license from the National Office.
– Solo events cannot be held without a Safety Steward in attendace.
– Safety Steward candidates should have at least a couple of seasons of participation in Solo events.
– The training is the same whether you are a new or existing steward
– The job is light on level of effort but heavy on responsibility
If you are interested in particpating in the training as either an existing or new steward please EMAIL so I can give the restaurant a good head count for lunch.

Lunch will be provided, thanks to the Colorado and Continental Divide regions. In addition to “regular” Solo Safety Steward Training, you will also be receiving Junior Driver Program (JDP) Safety and Tech training. Bring a pen and an eagerness to learn!
