I just want to be one of the first in print to say what a fantastic event today was!  I think my favorite Brian Kelly course, the U turns were a large enough radius to keep up speeds a bit, and the three cone (Of which only the center was important) slalom on the trip out from the start was quite possibly my favorite single feature in any autocross course.  Ever.  And I have been autocrossing for 40 years!  Five runs even with the large turnout was most appreciated, as was the lack of any serious timing issues from what I could see.  Props to all for pulling this one off, it was a great day!

+1. Great pad in a country club setting! I didn’t realize how a little attractive scenery enhanced an event; EVOC feels like we’re autocrossing at a golf course.

Great course by Brian, terrific surface, ample paddock space (despite our worries) and fantastic weather (after I shook off the morning chill). Good start to 2018!

Problems were as a result of our own success: obviously, 180+ drivers will necessitate more volunteers to work waivers and check-in. More port-a-johns, too. Plus, I’d like food/coffee to be available early in the morning, say by 7am?

The introduction of barcoding needs more thought before the May 13 event. I’ve started a thread on the chief’s forum for discussion.

Overall, I’m super enthused about EVOC and the 2018 season. Let’s race!
