    Hi everyone,

I’m interested in coming to this Sunday’s autocross and had a few questions/confirmations.

My first is about treadwear; section 13A-1 says minimum treadwear grade of 200 is required, but 13C-1 says “Any tire which is OE on a car eligible for Street Category may be used on that car in Regional Solo® events. OE tires must meet all require- ments of Section 13.3 to be eligible for National Solo® events.” My OE tires are Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2, which have a treadwear grade of 180. Does that mean they qualify as OE, I participate but without scoring, my car is outright not allowed to participate with those tires?

If not changed because of the tire, with no modifications on a 2015 GT3 (non-RS), I should be in SS?

And last, is car number assigned at registration? That’s what I’ve seen before but since I want to make sure I’m allowed with my tires I’m waiting to register. Really appreciate the help and advice everyone!

Hi Alex!  Welcome to the fun.

Since none of the experts have commented on your classing, you need to register this morning and worry about your classing later.  Your eligibility for a class is not questioned by tech, but can be questioned by others in your class.  Worst case, you get to have your fun, but your runs won’t be offical.

Once on site, you can either stay in the class you register in, or you can move to one were you should be legal.

When you register, you will pick your number from a list of unused numbers.  There are paper numbers on site or you can just use a contracting tape color to put them on your door.

    Sorry, just saw this.

Yes, the car is SS.  You should have treadwear 200 tires, but you’ll be ok with the Pilot Sport Cups.  You’ll participate like normal.

Thanks Jeffrey, is there any walk up registration? I missed the deadline this morning caught up with work.

There is no walk up registration, but if you send Jeff an email, he may be able to get you in still. His email is in the contact page here: https://www.rmsolo.org/contact/

Hope to see you out there!
