Thanks everyone who participated and helped run today’s event at EVOC. The Douglas County Sheriff’s department and folks from the Special Olympics Committee expressed their gratitude for our involvement. They told me that our autocross event made a normal car show into an exciting and very special event that raised far more money than any car show they’ve done in the past. The attendees thought the way the autocross was run was fantastic. I’m sure that in addition to helping raise money, we generated interest with many attendees in participating in our regular events.
They asked if they could count on us to participate again next year. I assured them we would. They feel that with proper promotion and advance notice, it could be one of the major fund raisers for them in future seasons.
