Hello.
On 3-18-18, RMSolo will be hosting its first event at the new EVOC site. EVOC is the Liniger Emergency Vehicle Operations Center, a new facility in Douglas County built to provide law enforcement a location to teach, learn, and practice various vehicle skills such as the PIT maneuver. Lucky for us, RMSolo is able to rent the facility for autocross events.
The primary purpose for the event on the 18th is to put on a normal event at EVOC, and figure out what needs to be fine tuned. In the following posts, I will be highlighting specific topics on how the day is expected to run. Please keep in mind that things are subject to change, so please ask if something is unclear, and hopefully we’ll figure out how to put on a great event and have fun together.
Being that this is a new facility, that is a law enforcement facility, with surrounding communities, you should expect to be on your best behavior. We will be monitored. Please observe speed limits, etc within and surrounding the facility. Sound regulations will be monitored and strictly enforced. Sound it a serious concern for the site and can result in losing our ability to use the site in the future. If you have a vehicle which has been flagged for sound in the past, you will be expected to have mitigation “fixes” applied before runs start.
Planned course map for the event.
Directions to the site –
The site is located at 8500 N Moore Rd, Littleton, CO 80125
You can view our directions page (http://www.rmsolo.org/directions/) for details on how to get to the location.
The entrance will be just South of a metal building. There is a green street sign next to the entrance road which says “EVOC”.
The entrance will put you here:
Directions from the entrance to Paddock –
We will be utilizing the Pad A area for course. There is a concrete area to the South of the pad which is where we will have paddock. We may extend that to part of the roadcourse if necessary.
You will need to drive along the access roads to the paddock area. Signs will be placed out to direct you.
Waivers –
We will have waivers at the gate between the paddock and the pad.
Like PPIR, EVOC has a site specific waiver, therefore you will need to fill out two waivers. It is important that you fully fill out the EVOC waiver.
Grid –
Grid will be positioned on the roadcouse next to the pad (see the course map above for traffic flows). You will drive along the road course between paddock and grid to park in your grid spot. The roadcourse is a strict 25mph speed limit area. Anyone found speeding, or otherwise driving recklessly on the roadcourse (or anywhere else on site for that matter) will be ejected from the event. Misbehavior on the roadcourse and access roads will cause RMSolo to lose access to this site.
Grid A in Red, Grid B in Yellow –
